About the Event
While organ transplantation is one of the greatest achievements in the history of medicine, its life-saving reach is limited by a chronic shortage of donated organs. Carnegie Mellon University and Mayo Clinic have partnered to form the Transforming Transplant initiative, which aims to advance transplant science through biomedical engineering. Using tools like bioprinting, tissue engineering, and biomaterials, transplantable organs could be far more available and save far more lives.
To learn more about this cutting-edge area of research, join our upcoming Faculty Dialogues presentation and discussion featuring expert faculty from CMU and the Mayo Clinic.
